Initial Consultation (Free)
Scheduling a 15-minute consultation or telehealth call to assess your therapeutic needs and determine if we are the best fit for your therapy goals.
Intake Session ($200)
Following the consultation call and a determination of fit for services, and intake session will be scheduled. All necessary documents will be sent to you via the client portal through Simple Practice (EHR). These documents are required to be done 24-hours minimum prior to the intake appointment. If they are not received by the 24-hour mark, your therapist will contact you to cancel the scheduled intake and reschedule once documentation is completed. Intakes are scheduled for up to 60 minutes.
Individual Sessions ($160)
Sessions run for up to 50 minutes. Sessions will be scheduled weekly to start (unless otherwise discussed with your therapist). The schedule will be created as a consistent day and time each week, with conversations around any adjustments as they arise.
Sliding Scale
Maverique therapeutic services will do our best to provide affordable mental health supports. We have specific sliding scale spots on our caseloads that would be for therapy at a lower cost than our standard fee.
For those who are privileged to pay the full fee, please note that portion of your fees go to support those needing a sliding scale option.
We ask that for those on sliding scale, if life ever shifts that allows you to pay more, that you let us know. All our fees are set to support services of those who can’t afford the full fee.
We currently have no openings for sliding scale at this time.
Additional Services
Any additional services being requested will be discussed with your therapist. Additional services could include: longer session time, change in frequency of services, caregiver support for clients under 18-years old, or combined sessions with clients under 18-years old and their caregivers. These will all be billed based on the service that is being requested.
Payment information
Maverique Therapeutic Services does not take insurance. All payments are made by the clients through Simple Practice (EHR) where you will input your credit card information. That credit card will be charged at the time of service. A Super Bill is generated at the beginning of each month for the previous months services. This can be submitted to your insurance if out of network benefits are available.

Good Faith Estimate
You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of what the charges could be for your therapy services. While it is not possible for a therapist to know, in advance, how many therapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, a GFE provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. You will be given a GFE following your intake that is based upon the agreed upon services (I.e.: weekly sessions for up to 50 minutes). You will receive a GFE each year to project the cost of services throughout that year. If there are any significant changes to your therapy routine, a new GFE will be generated for you to sign.
Changes in Fees
As costs of providing services increase, the fees for services may also increase. Any change in service fees will likely occur on a yearly basis. This is subject to change based on a number of factors. If a service fee change is going to occur, you will be afforded a month to three months notice of the change and the specific new costs for services.
Why we don’t take insurance
-
Insurance companies require a diagnosis and determine length of care based on this. They also can decide that you are not progressing fast enough and when you should be done with therapy.
-
When you are required to give a diagnosis this stays on file in your records. While this may not seem like a concern in the future you could be denied life insurance due to certain diagnosis.
-
Insurance may not pay when someone is experiencing normal life stressors, working on relationship issues, career concerns, or addressing past trauma.
-
Therapists that take insurance are often seeing too many clients and are mentally overextended. You want a therapist who is alert and attentive to you at each appointment. You deserve a therapist that remembers details about previous conversations you have had without having to repeat them each week.
